Greater Manchester Police has seen 368 knives surrendered into amnesty bins across the force as it looks to continue commitment to tackling knife crime during Sceptre.
The national week of action, which ran from Monday 17 November to Sunday 23 November saw co-ordinated action from across the force to focus on tackling serious violence through education, engagement and enforcement.
A key focus during the week of action was around test purchasing and ensuring retailers were well educated on where knives should be in shops to stop the sale and supply of knives solely intended to harm, along with preventing them getting into the hands of young people.
Utilising GMP cadets, retailers were visited during undercover operations with many passing the test purchasing operation and refusing sale to the underage cadets.
